WAWG Cyber Education Training

The WAWG Cyber Education Training program offers Computer Science & Engineering and Cyber Security learning opportunities to Civil Air Patrol members. These training sessions are open to both cadets and senior members.

CET Sessions are held twice per month:

1st Saturday of the Month - At WAWG HQ
307 Pitsenbarger Blvd, JBLM

3rd Saturday of the Month - At Overlake SQ
17230 NE 95th St Redmond, WA

Registration is FREE. The registration deadline is Thursday 17 November 2022 at 22:00/10:00 pm Pacific Time. 

We have a limited amount of spots available, so register early.

Park in the spaces marked by the blue P on the photo below, then walk to the classroom marked by an X. Look for Cyber Education signs.




- 09:00 - 09:30 = Arrival and sign in

- 09:30 - 10:00 = Housekeeping and safety briefing
- 10:00 - 12:00 = Cyber Security training - Linux Ubuntu based on the AFA CyberPatriot units 9 & 10


- 12:00 - 13:00 = Lunch

- 13:00 - 14:00 = Cadet activities organized by CET staff cadets 

- 14:00 - 16:00 = Computer Science and Engineering topics: Learn Python and electronics using robotics with Micro:Bit and Cyber:Bot (https://www.parallax.com/cyberbot/)

- 16:00 - 16:30 = Clean up and departure of students


to attend this training session: ️ 


- Be an active CAP cadet or Senior Member
- No prior cyber security knowledge or experience needed
- Register with your official CAP email if you have one
- Have parental or guardianship permission signed and submitted at registration (CAPF 60-80) for cadets


ABUs for cadets; ABUs or Corporate for senior members

Packing List: 

hydration pack or water bottle, some snack, notebook and pens
