Accessing JBLM

For the most up-to-date information, see the JBLM webpage on gate access. Use the McChord Field Main Gate.

• A CAP ID card and driver license for the driver may be sufficient to gain access to the base, but security protocols occasionally change.
• Visitors without a CAP ID or DOD-issued ID card must stop at the McChord Field Visitor Control Center to obtain a visitor pass. You must have a valid reason for entering the base and a REAL ID Act compliant government-issued photo ID, such as a Washington State Enhanced Driver License or US passport.
• Drivers must present vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
• Minors must be accompanied by an authorized adult.
